Please post the name of your first book, as I would very much like to read it. If you read Dutch, or know someone who does, I know of an excellent book published in the Netherlands which is entirely composed of stories of children who remember past lives and describe the transition to this one. It also has wonderful pictures.

I have several cases you might be interested in. The first is "Katie", who is Crystal Mertzlock. Details of her story were changed at her request, prior to her "going public" with her story. She described having heavenly playmates, who were waiting to be born.

Also, another child, Jamie, whose picture is on this website, described seeing "grandpas, and grandmas and babies waiting to be born". Her story might interest you as her parents are Lutheran and do not believe in reincarnation.

When you speak of pre-birth communications, I didn't know if you also meant prenatal NDEs as experienced by fetus's (who then report the event later in life). I have a patient who told me that her mother nearly died when she was in the womb. Later in life, she always had a distinct memory of floating out of her body and seeing her father kissing another woman in a parking lot. When she told her mother about this, her mother stated that when she nearly died, her father was not available as he was having an affair with another woman, and was finally located with the woman in a parking lot.

I am sorry I have not responded to your email. I can only spend about 5% of my time on near death research, and either haven't gotten to it yet, or missed it.

Please feel free to share what you have learned about predeath communications on this board. As I am typing, I am remembering another case described by Ian Stevenson, of predeath communications.

Thank you very much, Dr. Morse, for your response! So, as I was hoping, it was the version with "children waiting to be born" which was "Katie's" real experience.

My book's title is "Soul Trek: Meeting Our Children on the Way to Birth." Your mention of a Dutch book is intriguing. Though I do not read Dutch (in this lifetime anyway) I would certainly like to know of this book's title. Carol Bowman, who researches children with past life memories, recently was in the Netherlands and has contacts there. Please let us know the name and author of the Dutch book!

My research is expanding for this second book, as I am seeing more and more connections between various areas of interest. I am gathering material from parents (and others) who sense contact and communication with a future child, before birth or before the conception. Also, very interested now in children with spontaneous memories of existence before birth and especially before conception; or adults with such memories, preferably spontaneous. Also (as if that were not enough!) the mysterious connections that are sometimes experienced by adoptive parents, connecting with their child-to-be before actually "finding" the child. Your case of the woman who knows that her mother nearly died while she herself was in the womb is definitely the sort of thing I want to learn more about.

The children who remember previous lives, equally fascinating, I would refer to Carol Bowman, who is currently working on her second book on the subject and has a good website too.

Rather than take up a lot more space here, may I mention my website as posted below (I hope) where there is a great deal of information. Again, thank you for clearing up the discrepancy for me; children's NDE's with visions of others waiting to be born are naturally of great interest!
