NDEs happen near death.

OBEs refer to the simple out of body state, often part of an NDE, but can occur to people while jogging, without being near death or having any spiritual content.

The term NDE is often used to describe any sort of spiritual event involving an OBE, going into a tunnel, and seeing a spiritual light, even if the experience occurs during a dream, meditation, or while taking drugs.

If all this jargon and terms are confusing, that is because this is a confusing field. There is no commonly accepted definition of a near death experience.
