Visions
My strong bias is that personal revelation can be achieved
by studying NDEs, but I have not seen any evidence
of more than that.
For example, in Dannion Brinkley's book on his
visions, they had all come true prior to his book
being published, so it is hard for us to know what
to think.
For people who are interested in this, definately
check out Craig Lundahl, a Mormon researcher.
He is heading a project of people who have had
NDEs which result in global prophesies, etc.
Lucky for me, I never hear that sort of thing
with children, as I wouldn't know what to do with
it if I did.
The closest are children who accurately state that a family member is pregnant although sometimes even the
pregnant woman was unaware of it. Also they sometimes predict the sex of a child.
However, premonitions of death are quite common. I did a controled study of premonitions and figured out what are the
traits of a premonition that will come true. I found that a certain sort of premonition had a 3-5% chance of being false and a
95-97% chance of coming true. For more information, read the essay I posted above on spiritual visions and grieving. I will
be covering this in the newsletter as well.
I have no doubt that humans can access a timeless spaceless reality and obtain information about future events. It is the
interpretation that is difficult.
For example, what if all of those Biblical prophets were seeing the future, but they were seeing the Gulf War? They would
assume the world was coming to an end, when in reality, it was only a small localized area of hell on earth.
I wonder why you ask, and have you, or those you know, had visions or premonitions that have come true?
